Preparation time: 30 minutes
For 8 Spring Rolls
½ box Vegetarian Bacon Bits, chopped
8 Spring Roll pastry sheets
8 slices of cheddar cheese (vegan)
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 liter of vegetable oil for frying
oil for frying
Fry the chopped Bacon in 2 tablespoons oil until crispy and let cool. Cut the avocado into 8 equal pieces. Put a pastry sheet pointing upwards on a cutting board. Roll a slice of avocado with a pinch of chili powder and some Bacon in a slice of cheddar. Place the roll just below the middle of the pastry sheet and fold the bottom tip over the cheddar. Press slightly and roll upwards. Fold the two outermost points to the inside. Make the upper tip slightly moistened with a little water, and finish the Spring Roll. Repeat with the rest of the Spring Roll pastry sheets.
Heat the oil in a saucepan to 180 degrees and fry the Spring Roll (4 pieces each time) for 4 minutes until they are golden brown. These Spring Rolls are delicious to serve with a little chili sauce!
