Shashlik with sweet potato fries and Mini Meatballs

Shashlik with sweet potato fries and Mini Meatballs
For 4 servings.


For the sweet potato fries:
4 large sweet potatoes, cut into strips (0,5 cm)
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tbsp olive oil

For shashlik:
2 boxes of Mini Meatballs
1 red onion, cut into pieces
1 bell pepper, cut into pieces
8 mushrooms
8 skewers

Preheat oven to 225 degrees. Put the sweet potatoe strips in a bowl with the paprika, ground cumin, fennel seeds and olive oil and mix. Spread the fries on a parchment paper on a baking tray. Sprinkle with salt. Bake the sweet potato fries in the oven for 30 minutes  until golden and cooked through. Turn the fries after 15 minutes. 

Clean the mushrooms. Slide a piece of pepper and red onion on the skewer. Then add a Mini Meatballs and repeat until you have 3 Meatballs on a skewer, finish with a mushroom. Grill the shashliks and make sure you use enough oil. You can also bake the shashlik in a dry frying pan. Serve the shashlik and sweet potato fries with a simple green salad.
